Policies & Warranty

Please review our repair terms before dropping off your device.

1. Diagnostic & Estimates

All devices receive a diagnostic before any work begins. We provide an estimate and will not perform repairs without the customer's approval. Some complex cases (board-level / liquid damage) may require a deeper paid diagnostic.

2. 90-Day Limited Warranty

Repairs are covered by a 90-day limited warranty on the specific part replaced and the labor performed. The warranty covers defects on that repair only and does not cover new damage, accidents, or unrelated issues.

3. No Warranty on Liquid-Damaged Devices

Devices exposed to liquid (water, spills, humidity) are repaired on a best-effort basis and carry NO warranty. Liquid damage is progressive and may cause new failures at any time, even after a successful repair.

4. No Warranty on CPU / Board-Level Work

Repairs involving the CPU or board-level / microsoldering work carry NO warranty. These are high-complexity repairs performed on already-damaged boards, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed over time.

5. Data Backup Is the Customer's Responsibility

It is the customer's responsibility to keep a backup of their device and their information. We strongly recommend backing up before any service.

6. Data Loss

If for any reason or by error any information is deleted or lost during service, Tech4Repair is not responsible for that data. Repairs may require formatting, board work, or component replacement that can result in data loss.

7. If You Have No Backup, Talk to Us First

If the customer has not saved or backed up their information, they must talk to us before we proceed so we can decide together how to handle the repair and what steps to take to protect the data when possible.

8. Device Pickup & Storage (30 Days)

We do not store devices for more than 30 days. Devices not picked up within 30 days of repair completion or diagnostic notice will be considered abandoned and may be recycled, sold, or disposed of to recover costs, with no liability to Tech4Repair.

9. Payment

Payment is due in full upon completion and before device pickup. Diagnostic fees, when applied, are non-refundable. Completed repairs are non-refundable.

10. Parts

We use quality components selected for each repair. Some repairs may use OEM, original-pull, or high-grade aftermarket parts; we will inform you when relevant. Part availability may affect repair time.

11. Repair Times

Repair time estimates are not guaranteed. Complex diagnostics, parts ordering, and board-level work may extend timelines.

12. Passcodes & Access

Some repairs require the device passcode to test functionality. By providing it you authorize us to access the device only for testing the repair. We respect your privacy and do not access personal content beyond what testing requires.

13. Inherent Repair Risk

All repairs carry inherent risk, especially on devices with prior damage, liquid exposure, or previous repairs. Bringing in a device for service means you accept this risk.
